The Electronic Library of Ukrainian Literature provides free access to electronic texts of Ukrainian literature to all readers, particularly to students outside Ukraine, where texts are often difficult to obtain. Eventually, if my time and energy allow for it, the library will grow to include more translations and other secondary materials pertinent to Ukrainian literature, in both English and Ukrainian.
The library is a personal project of Prof. Maxim Tarnawsky at the University of Toronto. I have had help from many individuals, both in scanning and coding works and in elements of the web design. Support for the library has come from the Danylo Husar Struk Programme in Ukrainian Literature, The Bahriany Foundation, Inc., the Ukrainian Studies Fund, and Ukrainian publishers, including Krytyka, MOSTY, Kalvaria and Pulsary. If you are willing to help (scanning, coding, design) make the library an effective tool for the study and promotion of Ukrainian literature, please contact Prof. Maxim Tarnawsky (tarn@chass.utoronto.ca ) at the University of Toronto.
There are many other web libraries that contain Ukrainian literary works. I can't list them all on these pages, but users should be aware that just because something is not in my library, that doesn't mean you won't find it on the internet.
If you have further questions, please write to Prof. Maxim Tarnawsky (tarn@chass.utoronto.ca ).
